An Improved Fuzzy Identity-Based Encryption Scheme With Constant Size Ciphertext

چکیده
In this paper, we present an improved biometric identity based encryption scheme which is based on Baek et al’s scheme. By using fuzzy extractor to construct the public key of a user, we reduce the number of exponentiations of encryption algorithm, the number of MaptoPoint hash function and the length of ciphertext from O(n) to O(1). Furthermore, we proved the proposed scheme satisfy the security requirement under indistinguishability of encryptions under fuzzy selective-ID, chosen plaintext attack (IND-FSID-CPA).

Security of a Biometric Identity-based Encryption Scheme
Biometric identity-based encryption (Bio-IBE) is a kind of fuzzy identity-based encryption (fuzzy IBE) where a ciphertext encrypted under an identity w′ can be decrypted using a secret key corresponding to the identity w which is close to w′ as measured by some metric. Recently, Yang et al. proposed a constant-size Bio-IBE scheme and proved that it is secure against adaptive chosen-ciphertext a...
متن کاملAnonymous Constant-Size Ciphertext HIBE from Asymmetric Pairings
We present a new hierarchical identity based encryption (HIBE) scheme with constant-size ciphertext that can be implemented using the most efficient bilinear pairings, namely, Type-3 pairings. In addition to being fully secure, our scheme is anonymous. The HIBE is obtained by extending an asymmetric pairing based IBE scheme due to Lewko and Waters. The extension uses the approach of Boneh-Boyen...
متن کاملShort Hierarchical Identity-based Encryption in the Selective-ID Model
Recently Zhang et al. proposed a hierarchical identity-based encryption scheme which is the first efficient scheme where both ciphertexts and private keys achieve O(1)size, and is the best trade-off between private key size and ciphertext size at present. However, in this paper, it will be pointed out that their scheme exists an ambiguity or shortcoming which makes their scheme be insecure or n...
متن کاملFuzzy Identity-Based Encryption
We introduce a new type of Identity-Based Encryption (IBE) scheme that we call Fuzzy Identity-Based Encryption. In Fuzzy IBE we view an identity as set of descriptive attributes. A Fuzzy IBE scheme allows for a private key for an identity, ω, to decrypt a ciphertext encrypted with an identity, ω′, if and only if the identities ω and ω′ are close to each other as measured by the “set overlap” di...
متن کاملNew Fuzzy Identity-Based Encryption in the Standard Model
In a fuzzy identity-based encryption (IBE) scheme, a user with the secret key for an identity ID is able to decrypt a ciphertext encrypted with another identity ID′ if and only if ID and ID′ are within a certain distance of each other as judged by some metric. Fuzzy IBE also allows to encrypt a document to all users that have a certain set of attributes. In 2005, Sahai and Waters first proposed...
